His harsh upbringing and paranoia sparked his strong and violent temper. He wanted power and he wanted to be in control. His supremacy acted as a drug in his system and he was continually hungry for more. He created an idealized self image that required him to seek not only political power, but also recognition of himself as a great intellectual and social leader.
